Mike O'Quin is passionate to help teams reach their fullest potential by leading them through a training experience focused on understanding their behavioral preferences as well as growing in their emotional intelligence. He has tremendous DISC and EQ assessment knowledge and is certified in both assessments. Mike is a dynamic facilitator that enjoys active engagement of all team members.
Mike studied journalism and psychology at Baylor University and completed a master’s degree in organizational psychology from William James College in Boston.
He has decades of experience in leading teams in the U.S. and cross-culturally. He and his family served as missionaries in Indonesia for nearly 14 years, where they focused on leadership development and empowering people out of poverty by starting a graphic deign business called Presentation Elevation.
Mike loves writing. He is the author of a travel-suspense novel set in Indonesia entitled Java Wake and blogs at FaithActivators.com. There you can read more of his articles or listen to his podcasts. He’s currently working on a non-fiction book on the theme of desperation, hope and and faith.
Mike is happily married to his high school sweetheart Stephanie and they have four children ranging from elementary school to college age. He frequently tells his kids corny jokes that make them groan and roll their eyes. He loves Tex-Mex, hanging out with friends, hearing and telling good stories.
